Mr Sridhar Rathinam is a Consultant Thoracic Surgeon and Head of Service at University Hospitals of Leicester, specialising in parenchyma-preserving lung cancer surgery, minimally invasive thoracic surgery, chest wall surgery and emphysema surgery. His research interests include lung cancer biomarkers, perioperative care and surgical innovation, and he is Principal Investigator for several NIHR clinical trials. An internationally recognised surgical educator, he has held senior leadership roles with the Society for Cardiothoracic Surgery and the Royal College of Surgeons of Edinburgh. Mr Rathinam has published extensively and is committed to advancing thoracic surgery through research, education and simulation-based training.
